Activation Failed 5 - License Limit Reached (Max Devices Used)

You may see the following message when activating your license or starting a trial:

TurboActivate error:

“Failed to start the trial: 5”

This is a license limit issue on our backend and usually happens when your license has already been activated on the maximum number of devices.

Akrivi licenses can be used on up to 2 machines.

If you’re trying to activate on a third device, this error will appear.


How to resolve this

Option 1: Deactivate on other machines

If you’ve previously activated Akrivi on another computer, you’ll need to deactivate the license on one of those devices first.

Once deactivated, return and activate your license again on your current machine.


Option 2: Contact us

If you no longer have access to your previous device, or you’re unable to deactivate the license, contact us and we’ll reset it for you.

Important to know

  • This is not an issue with the plugin or your system
  • Reinstalling will not resolve this error
  • This is caused by reaching the device activation limit
  • We can quickly reset your license if needed
  • Please make sure to always 'deactivate' a machine if you plan on getting a new/ different one
