Step 1: Open the tool

- In Adobe Illustrator, go to Window > Extensions > Akrivi Gridit.
- Select the Base Grid icon (the grid symbol) from the top navigation bar.
Step 2: Select your grid type

Click on the icon for the grid style you need:
- Square: Standard 90° vertical and horizontal lines.
- Isometric: 30° diagonal lines for 3D drafting.
- Hexagon: Interlocking six-sided shapes.
- Golden Rt: Compositional guides based on the Golden Ratio (1:1.618).
Step 3: Customize Settings

Before generating, you can adjust the visual properties of the grid to ensure it doesn't overpower your design.
- Size/Scaling: Controls the scale of the grid cells or modules.
- Margin (for Golden Ratio): Adjusts the spacing around the golden spiral guide.
Step 4: Generate

Click the Generate button. The tool will create a new layer named "Base Grid" containing your vector grid, locked and ready for drafting.
Make Guides: Click the blue Make Guides button. This instantly converts the grid pattern into native Adobe Illustrator Guides (cyan lines).
